The cost of the Eruv, as well as its annual maintenance, is borne entirely by the Jewish community, and Mill Hill Eruv Committee in particular.

Maintenance and upkeep of the poles and wires is the responsibility of the Mill Hill Eruv Committee, a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity.  The erection and maintenance of the Eruv boundary is funded by the Committee, which derives its income from charitable donations, and thus creates no burden on public finances.
